Formed in 1993 after Shane MacGowan was sacked from the Pogues, The Popes developed their own upbeat blend of Irish folk and punk. The line up has changed over the years but lead vocalist and principal songwriter Paul McGuinness, aka Mad Dog, has remained throughout. Expect a wild night of music!
