Since bursting on to the UK chart scene in the 70s, Linda Lewis' fusion of folk, soul, pop, rock and reggae into a unique signature sound has laid the foundations for more recent black female artists such as Des'ree and India.Arie. Recent collaborations with the likes of Turin Brakes, Jamiroquai, and Midfield General shows her to be a potent musical force to this day.
