Part musician, part performance poet, Derek Meins brings a much needed sense of eccentricity to the music scene. Former vocalist with Berwick-Upon-Tweed's Eastern Lane, Derek wrote and sang all the songs across two critically acclaimed albums.
Now going solo and residing in Brighton, his live performances are truly something to behold. Armed only with a battered acoustic guitar and a voice that at times resembles more of a howl, he switches from bittersweet song to surrealist prose on a whim. Indie has found its new Poet Laureate.
